Anyone tested iConnectMIDI4+ or similar? I am testing irig blueboard to Dreamfoot on Ipad sending the midi to Ableton and Keyscape.....I feel that if I where to trust this live, I would have to have cables all the way, no bluetooth....Blueboard is ok, but now and then it feels like the signal is lagging behind....Are there a way to have cables all the way, with softstep or similar connecting it all through something like iConnectMIDI4+ ? any user experience here?I WISH THE APP WAS on the mac, eliminating the Ipad.....for my use,anyway...
I've still got the original app for Mac. Philippe is this still being supported?
I've got the same concerns re going wireless/bluetooth. I have Bueboard and also use a Puc+ for Bluetooth connectivity (also powers a controller which is great). Don't feel confident with either though.
I have seen Dream Foot used with a Looptimus unit, which is usb wired into ipad via camera kit. So, I'd say that "full wired" is achievable.
Hey guys, You are all on the right track. Our app works with any device that is capable of sending MIDI messages. Wireless or Wired. The iConnect would work with a standard MIDI connection, or any USB MIDI controller that can be connected to an iPad.
H Phillipe, is agere a full list of midi commands to play, toggle sustain, up down as per the bluebird. I have been using Some midi translator to send CC messages on ch 16 which seemed to work ... then didn't. I'm using a McMillen 12 step as my master controller. Any help would be great, thank you.
@csmdigital Hey, just to double check, are you using the iPad app or the old Dream Foot APP for Mac? on the iPad the functions do not have specific midi commands you just assign each function to any button on your midi controller. Just make sure you program your 12 Step to send CC messages on channel 1.

Hi Philipe, thanks for the reply; I'll outline our solution below in case it helps other users. We use a McMillen 12 step to control the whole show. It goes into a MacBook running Bome Midi Translator (which is fantastic) and Keynote. The midi chain flows out of the Mac to an iPad via an iRig Midi 2 this is where Dreamfoot lives and does not need midi control - simply use the learn function in the app from the 12 Step. The chain then continues to control a Line 6 FX box and a Reverb rack mount. It keeps us busy, but works very well. Look forward to Dreamfoot updates.
