I have trialed Dreamfoot for a while, and found shortcomings
-Integration with Audiobus - No state saving . So cant really use it with audiobus live
Suggestion for IPAD split view - So one can use audiobus mixer
-Inbuilt sounds drop out at higher octaves (e.g C6)
- Saving song in another key is a pain. It works fine when app is open. Even if you change keys for 5 songs or so, DF remembers, But when you close and open app it reverts to original scale
- Suggestion - attack of first chord can be slower, to avoid volume jumps or maybe gives us an inbuilt swell sound
- Octave switch does not work reliably
- In jam mode, when changing keys, octaves are changed abruptly ( e.g if I want E to Eb, Eb will jump to higher octave, and if want to bring it back to normal via octave switch, it goes 2 octaves lower when you do -1 octave, crazy stuff
Hey Clive, Thanks for the feedback. We are working on correcting the points that are related to iOS bugs and adding the other ideas to our update list. Our team is working hard on a major app update that will be released soon.
You guys are going to love the new features.
thanks , may I add,
1.apps like onsong support split view, so would be quite cool to have Dream Foot jam mode and onsong next to each other
2. also maybe a "lock setlist" button, to avoid accidental change...the small setlist buttons right belwo screen are quite sensitive , so even with a slight finger touch, while slightly adjusting Ipad, the change happens
3. also an auto pad / drone option
next to sustain switch, you can probably add a autopad/drone switch (which plays fixed note or notes based on root .. Eg c2,c3,g3) and put an option in midi map saying "Link drone and Sustain" that way blueboard mapping can stay the same
if possible to implement, then color for droned note or notes can change on onscreen keyboard, to indicate which note is being droned
